Doctors Benefit From Unnecessarily Implanted Heart Defibrillators

A new study found that 25,000 people, 22.5 percent of those receiving heart defibrillators in this country, received a defibrillator they did not need. These surgeries cost more than $35,000 and place patients at risk of injuries from anesthetic and other complications.
