Doctors’ Errors in Staging Prostate Cancer Don’t Matter

New research shows that oncologists’ practice of characterizing prostate cancer into different stages is useless. Not only do the doctors incorrectly stage the cancer at a rate of more than 35 percent, but also, even correct staging does not accurately predict the chances of the cancer reoccurring.
